Part3 - The Missed Left Turn
The road was narrow and the enthu soared high as we knew that it was close enough, in this high zeal that we all were running through made us miss the actual Left turn which we were supposed to take as directed by some local. The raod took us to some jungle and the road was parallel to the lake, we were under the impression, "Bas ab pahunch hi gaye", here it was figured that the road that we had chosen was wrong and a decision to abort the mission was called...
But still we thought that we still will take our chances with the "Left Turn" and yes this gamble turned out to be in our favor, we had now reached the Khadkwasla lake.
Stunned we stood to see what was infornt of us... A vast expanse of water called Khadakwasla Lake and it was bathing in moonlight, wow said everyone...
"What a marvellous sight" said someone, we fell prey to this natures trick.
We sat there waiting for the worst to happen.
Honk Honk... went the horn...
This was a jeep like contraption with the headlights ON and on a high beam, I had turned back to see one car being stopped for sometime before it sped away, I knew we were in some kind of trouble... And how correct I was...
Some one from the farside yelled, "Kon aahey rey tithey?", meaning who is there. We all turned back, and sensed horror. We knew these were those wearing Khakis and with huge tummies they carry with pride, they were the POLICE.
Now the devil had his say and he pounced on us.
He had his first laugh...
