Its an Honda!

It was a perfect score that prompted me to go for more.
Earlier I thought I'll share it, but then realisation dawned upon me
And my soul spoketh, "How can a free bird share its wings?"
So Idecided to go solo... Yes solo, to buy a car all alone here in the US.
After weeks of searching www.craigslist.com/eby/car for used cars I couldn't find one.
But last Sunday was the day of triumph.
All this long I had been thinking that I shall buy a Toyota Corolla or a Nissan Sentra.
But fate had some something great decided for me. And a dream came true!
After a long wait I finally got one... yes its a Honda! and its Accord.
So from now on Ninad will ride the streets of San Ramon, CA in his Honda Accord.

So much for the car... you would say what's the big deal... but heck, I care a damn!
I'm happy and that's all!

Been there... Done that...

...not that, you pervert ;-)
Had been to florida this weekend, had a gala time.
Went to the NASA Kennedy Space Center, never in my life I thought that I would be to this place. Had also been to the Miami Beach and Key West-the southernmost tip of the Continental US.
Bahut maza aaya...

Its not difficult after all...

Hmmm...
I always thought it would be difficult rather different driving a Left Hand vehicle...
But after driving the Saturn Ion today I felt, its a piece of cake...
Its so simple man... and this calls for taking some beginners classes from a pro.
I guess driving on Interstates is what I should be looking for. rest seems fine.
and having penned this down, my thoughts run down the lanes of thoughts and provoking me to search for a car...

I guess I should formally say, "The Hunt Begins..."

A Perfect Score!

Had been to the DMV this morning to take the CA drivers license test and had a perfect score, 36 out of 36!
Wow...
The next step is to buy a car! I hope I find a nice Honda Accord used one though.

Nano

Finally I have an iPod! Its a Nano!
The wait is over. I ordered it after a lot of self restraint.
Spent a small fortune on it... 250 bucks (thats quite an amount in INR).
now I'm a proud owner of Apples' finest creation for music lovers.
and I've got it engraved with "My gift 2 Me: 23-Apr-06" "Ninad Lade"
Yeah you guessed it right! its my birthday gift! this is what I wanted to buy...
it makes a fine gift, I guess...

A Zillion Lines...

Man... I'm lost in this maze of a zillion (probably a gazillion) lines of COBOL code...
Well analysis of this application has now come down to copy-pasting comments into a stupid word doc!
And yes the time factor is running out... My Project Manager has granted leaves to three offshore resources for a full week without consulting and am standing with this small team and a mammoth task..
wish me luck oh GOD!

This reminds me that I didn't update the program description doc for the module 2h...

Great News...for the LOSERS

I have some news to share, us-se pehle a phew words!

Brothers, Countrymen and LOSERS…
I’m sort of on a winning streak for quite some time now… after the long ever-lasting LOSER days…
Pehle toh Patni mein break, fir Infy mein job, fir salary hikes (na jaane kitni), lots of awards in Infy and then onsite (that too long term in Uncle Sam's Land)…
And now… PROMOTION… yes you heard it right, promotion!
But this doesn’t deter me from saying that I’m still a proud LOSERS member and my pride lies with the ‘LOSER’ tag… applause applause…

Guys the great news is that my Job Band has changed to PA (Programmer Analyst) but my personal band remains SE…
Anyways salary hike abhi nahi hogi… yet my role has changed…
But jab salary hike hogi to apna pagaar 40K+p.m. ho jayega :) (and this is due in April 2006) so m hoping for the best… so that keeps me with Infosys for a couple of years more…

So thanks for being always by my side… I mean on e-mails :)

In Uncle Sams Land...

Its been ages that I have penned my thoughts...
Well this is the place where I SPEAK... and others hear, on the contrary its always been this way :) but sometimes.
Well they've done it...

they have sent me to a heavan - San Ramon, California.
This place is awesome, scenic and I have no words to descibe it!

My journey was to begin sometime early in November circa 2005, but got delayed due to some filthy reasons till mid of Dec 2005.
Now that I'm here I have decided to make the best out of this trip.

Life has turned topsy turvy, the free and careless bird has been caged, yet I am on my flight.

The very best things have happened to me, after I came in.
Met a bunch of guys, although all from Infy and from the same project (not that as of mine) are so remotely distant... Each has his own persona, lovely jovial characters... I adore each of them.

Well what more can I say... I had been to a fantasctic place in Northern California called Lake Tahoe... Jannat, its like heavan. Had been to Lake Tahoe for the Christmas long weekend. Had an awesome time there.. and guess what, I had my first ICE skii at the diamond peak there.

Ever since I've been here, have been with these guys. I love hanging around in Archstone inspite of the fact that my place is zillion times better.
Anyways...
Also had a chance to visit the charm of the Bay... San Francisco, it sure has a culture, saw the marvellous Golden gate... in a ferry though...

I am planning to conquer this magnanimous engineering marvel on a bicycle. Plans on hold till springs arrives.

Life sucks and ROCKS at the same time, what an irony! Live with it... thats what I do...
